Nigerian central bank renews partnership with Digital Encode
The Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN) has re-appointed Digital Encode as the sole technical partner to the Nigerian Electronic Fraud Forum (NeFF), ThisDay reported. NeFF is an industry-wide initiative that was set up for the identification, mitigation, prevention and prosecution of all electronic fraud-related acts perpetrated in the country.
At the introduction of the cashless Nigeria initiative, the CBN mobilised all stakeholders in the electronic payment space to set up the NeFF. Digital Encode was therefore appointed to ensure that the NeFF obtained all the technical supports it required.
Digital Encode was expected to facilitate advanced training for key industry personnel. It would also be expected to gather, analyse and review data and peer activity in conjunction with the steering committee.
The NeFF chairman said Digital Encode would also conduct forensic and predictive analysis and, if need be, engage in lab simulation to assist in educating organisations while enhancing their abilities to manage risk and develop security strategies and best practices.
